Medal of Honor Warfighter was among KiwiGam3r's most anticipated games of 2012. Warfighter promised big things. For starters, the game was announced to be powered by the mighty Frostbite 2.0 engine which was enough to get some shooter fans excited. Then, the developers promised a more realistic approach to first person shooting. Remember the marketing and advertising efforts surrounding Warfighter's launch? Interviews with real army guys talking about their experiences and countless videos promising authentic weapon gadgets sucked us into thinking that Medal of Honor was going to be anything than it actually turned out to be - rubbish.
"At its core, Warfighter is a functional shooter built on trite design ideas, but significant technical problems knock it below the realm of mediocrity." - IGN
" There's been a backlash brewing for some time against the bombastic direction military shooters have taken, but it would be wrong to assume that Medal of Honor: Warfighter is simply the game unlucky enough to bear its brunt. The truth is far simpler and more depressing: it's just not that good." - Eurogamer
" Medal of Honor: Warfighter more resembles an untrained insurgent trying to figure out a state-of-the-art rocket launcher than a Tier 1 soldier." - Gameinformer
Those are just some of the comments critics have made. All in all, Medal of Honor Warfighter sits at a pathetic 56 Metascore on Metacritic.com. This might seem a little harsh, but a big budget game from one of the world's leading publishers, EA, shouldn't be this bad. There really are no excuses.
